The limited-edition PDX Internationalist sneaker
These were made in a very limited run by Nike and are difficult to find. They are re-created from a design that was first seen at the 1982 New York Marathon. I was lucky enough to find mine at Scoop in the trendy Soho neighborhood in NYC. They are no longer available at Nike, but there are some other great pieces from their Internationalist line here. They go great with tailored-fit sweat pants or a rolled up jean for a look that is anything but 1982.
The New Wayfarer in Metal Effect by Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban's New Wayfarer in Metal Effect is a new take on an old classic. Unlike the traditional Wayfarer, the New Wayfarer doesn't have the angled lens and bridge, which I like a lot better. The Metal Effect is available in silver (left), grey, or brown. I picked mine up at OMG Jeans in New York. You can also get them directly through the Ray-Ban site. Either way, they're gonna look great with a suit for a day at the office or a pair of shorts for a day at the beach.
The Jack Spade Flint Nylon Atlas CaseI've been carrying this for a few months. I got it via Gilt back in January, but it works well into the spring and summer. It's available through Jack Spade here, and is now more than half off. It's the perfect size for a small laptop or iPad - and a few files and papers. It also has a nice inside pocket where I throw receipts until I can reconcile them at the end of every month. And it looks good with whatever you're wearing, casual or dressy. You can't go wrong with this piece or virtually anything from Mr. Spade.
